What a lovely experience at Royal Cedar Shimla. In the lovely mountains with such a good property and views, royal cedar is the best I have got so far, Mr. Gulshan, the owner, is the best man I have met in Shimla, he is a gem of a person, he is so polite and helpful that words cannot describe him. He ensured our comfortable stay at his property. Mr. Amit is a hardworking boy available 24x7 for room service. He is great at his job. We had dinner and breakfast and I think my family had the best food in Shimla at Royal Cedar only. The room is great and comes with lovely fragrance from wood in the room. I may sound too sus but trust me I had one of my best stay experience at Royal Cedar Shimla.. Visiting next time very soon..... ~ Advocate D

After getting a surprise from Fab Hotels (Hotel Aplin Hillden) we tried our luck and booked our room here via Bookings.com. We were little skeptical but had no choice. Much to our surprise we were extremely pleased by the hospitality and service provided here. We were welcomed graciously and also were made sure of feel comfortable. It is a homestay with perfect hospitality. If you want food (lunch, dinner or breakfast) then its home made and its finger lickijg good!. It is a little far from main sites like Mall road, Jhaku Temple, Kufri but you gotta travel a lot to cover all attractions. I would definitely recommend this place to all and infact will visit myself again. Go for it and thank me later. :) ~ Samay T

We stayed here for 2 days (Jan 4 and 5) as a family of 4 with 2 senior citizens. The staff were fluent in English and were hospitable and attended to all our needs with care. They gave us clear instructions and guided us to the location. The food was great and the staff made sure it was always served hot. They had a good variety of dishes from paneer to mushroom to dhal which were all very tasty. Our rooms had huge glass windows to view the breathtaking mountain and Shimla city landscape. The hotel staff gave us great recommendations for local sightseeing and helped us plan our visit. Overall had an amazing comfortable stay and I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Shimla both for family and bachelors! ~ Rahul G

Good food , fantastic views , great hospitality Its located quite away from the city which is a great thing. You will have absolute peace of mind. With breathtaking pine vally views llllllll Cozy rooms offer a comfortable stay with every facility, Food was too yum which is cooked by owners wife. I really thank them for the tasty food. The owner Mr. Gulshan Varma is a very humble man, he treated us as his own family members. Took very well care of us right from checking in to checking out. We are couple and our first visit to Shimla this week, so we booked this homestay.. Honestly owner Gulshan and his wife are very amazing as a person with amazing hospitality.. Homely feeling with amazing facilities they provided to us..Rooms are big with spacious balcony ( with amazing view) and all the amenities available..Food quality is like home made with varieties n delicious. I stayed here for 3 nights. Gulshan, the host, and his wife welcomed me with open arms and provided a delicious home made dinner. The B&B is located a bit outside of the town, that meant a peaceful and quiet night in a cozy bed. The room and the bathroom was clean and the hot shower any time of the day amazing. The sunrise in the morning is lovely, best view from the balcony. Whether breakfast, dinner or a little snack, every meal I got was delicious. It was a ver very special experience in our life to stay in this property. I don't have words to express my happiness and gratitude for the property owner. In terms of view mountain from balcony from this is the best hotel in Shimla. I felt like heaven when I woke up with this view from balcony. The food was very tasty and delicious. Had an amazing stay at the hotel.We stayed here for two days and it’s one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in so far. The host gave us a very warm welcome and helped us feel like we’re part of his family. He also took great care of us and our requirements. The mountain view from the room is breathtaking. The location is also nice away from the city suitable for a quiet, calm holiday. The room is very clean and contains all necessary items. They also offered to clean our room during our stay. The serenity of valley at your doorstep. That's how I would like to define my experience at the Royal Cedar B&B. The hosts and services provided them were top notch. The food was delicious and served hot to our rooms and they really accommodated with kids routine. The beautiful sunrise and sunset experience from our room of the valley is something which no one wants to miss. The rooms and bathrooms were newly renovated and the hosts put really good effort to maintain the hygiene. We’ve decided on two days stay in Shimla before heading to spiti, and staying here was the best possible decision made, ‘coz this is a perfect place for friends who like to chill and nature lovers, as the view from the window is simply amazing, the food is great and served on time, with fresh and hygiene preparation. If you want to travel to a offbeat place and spend the vacation without the craziness of Mall road. The place is near mehli, if you are traveling through car it's great but if you are planning to explore the city by bus then take the bus from Old Shimla bus stand to chaili ghati near uma public school but the last bus run from bus stand to the hotel location is 7:10 pm. The food is great, view is also great. We were here for 3 nights and found the owners very helpful and very friendly. You can visit this place for its good food great view and friendliness of the owner. ~ Chinmoy N

Overall Excellent !!! We have stayed for one night (Couple) Location - View is fantastic !!! Best for someone who loves nature and quite place Property - Neat and clean !!! (Just 2 to 3 years old building) Food - Felt like having food in my home (really delicious) Hospitality - The Best !!! (People are kind and welcoming as needed) Only con is taxi drivers are charging very high to this location as it is quite far away(10 kms) from main city. It was a pleasure staying at this Brand new property, which is 20 to 25 minutes from the Mall Road. Really pleasant and clean rooms, bedding is heavenly but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the owner and staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. From the minute that we arrived, until the end of our stay, the staff was so kind and welcoming. Royal Cedar BnB is one of the best BnB within the entire shimla, with mesmerizing views. you will feel here like your second home. BnB owner Mr. Gulshan was a nice and humble person, and their bnb staff were also very supportive. here they have shared parking space for vehicle's. You don't have to hustle here and there for food, and their food quality was good n better from outside with similar prices. all daily basic amenities will be provided by the BnB owner. highly recommended this property. ~ Rahul S

Royal cedar is a nice place to stay. It's away from city hustle and bustle. Room are newly built and very neat and clean. Prefer valley and hill side facing room. Valley and hills view is breathtaking. Hotel owner Mr.Gulshan is very warm welcoming and nice person. Check in and check out process was very smooth.There staff will treat you like you at your own home. Food options are limited. It's preferred to come here on your own vehicle. Shimla is 9kms away from here. ~ Abhishek S
